"THE A/B EP" PRESS RELEASE

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

POP TROUBADOURS BRANDON SCHOTT AND AN AMERICAN UNDERDOG TEAM UP FOR A COLLABORATIVE VINYL RELEASE

Los Angeles, CA October 24, 2013

Los Angeles based songwriter Brandon Schott & Bay City, Michigan's own Andy Reed(p/k/a An American Underdog) have joined forces to release "THE A/B EP" throughPop Factory Records on December 3, 2013. The four song record will be available on limited edition 7" vinyl and digital download.

"THE A/B EP" was recorded over the summer of 2013 - each artist contributing to each other's songs from opposite shores. "Andy and I met online through mutual friends and instantly hit it off through our shared love of artists like ELO, Elliott Smith & Harry Nilsson," says Brandon. "We were creatively off and running pretty quickly – despite the distance between us. It’s been amazing; there are literally no boundaries now when it comes to geography and the ability to have these kinds of rich musical conversations."

Andy continues the story, "I was always a fan of Brandon's work and the timing was perfect. We were both starting to work on new records and this seemed like a great way to get the ball rolling. I'm sure we will continue to work together."

The first single, Brandon's whimsical pop anthem "HENRY" was released to radio this week, with An American Underdog's Jeff Lynne inspired "SHOW GOES ON" slated to debut in early November.

"Andy and I started Pop Factory as a DIY effort to release An American Underdog's first album, and when the opportunity to bring in a songwriter of Brandon's caliber came up, we jumped at it," says Shawn MacDonald, of Pop Factory Records. "Andy and Brandon each have their own style, but they mesh perfectly and that really comes through on this record."

Brandon says, "This is hands down the most invigorating collaboration I've ever experienced in my career with someone I've never actually met face to face. We both feel like this is just the beginning for us."

The EP is now available for pre-order at www.ab-ep.com.
