NEW EP COMING SOON!

It is with great pride that I present the cover art for my upcoming single, the first wave of a multi-layered collaboration with Phoenix based artist Alexander Scott Hughes for my upcoming record. And here's the story...

Last fall as I was putting together the AB/EP, I'd just finished listening to a mix of HENRY when I passed a piece called "Strangers With Candy" that I'd randomly bought off the wall at a coffee shop in Phoenix I played back in 2008 (see attached photo). The way the character earnestly presented himself as the eager yet awkward outsider seemed to land in the right context with the themes of the record I was starting to make.

So, I opened up the frame and found that I still had the artist's card taped to the back of the print. It wasn't long before Alexander (who turns out is a fellow vinyl junky) and I were trading emails and planting the seeds for a visual language to tie into my upcoming album, "Crayons and Angels".

The three headed pigeon that graces the Verdugo Park single is only the beginning...

Alex and I met for the first time this weekend but it felt very much like meeting an old friend. I played down what I have of the new record (in demo and final mix form, depending on the track) and we brainstormed even more.

More to come, but for now...
